Claude & OpenAI Usage Analytics + GitHub Copilot for Enterprises 🤖🏢
We are thrilled to announce that the AI Usage dataset now covers Claude Platform, OpenAI Platform and OpenAI Codex Enterprise: you can now compare how your engineers use Claude Code, the OpenAI API and Codex, side by side with GitHub Copilot.
Alongside this, GitHub Copilot metrics can now be imported once for your whole GitHub enterprise.
Claude & OpenAI: Every AI Coding Assistant in One Dataset
Most engineering teams don't use a single AI assistant. Some developers live in Claude Code, others in Codex or Copilot, and scripts call the APIs directly. Until now, only GitHub Copilot reached Keypup. To solve this, we are introducing three new AI integrations, available in beta under Settings > App management:
- Claude Platform: Imports the usage of your Claude Console organization: how many developers use Claude Code, where they use it (terminal, IDE, cloud), which models, how much code it writes, and the tokens your applications consume through the Claude API. See the Claude Platform integration article for the plans it covers.
- OpenAI Platform: Imports the requests made with your OpenAI organization's API keys, per user or API key and per model, including Codex run with an API key. See the OpenAI Platform integration article.
- OpenAI Codex Enterprise: Imports the Codex usage of your ChatGPT Enterprise or Edu workspace: which members use Codex, on which client (web, command line, IDE), the credits and lines of code, and the pull requests reviewed by Codex code review. See the OpenAI Codex Enterprise integration article.
- Connect with an Admin Key: Each integration connects with an admin key that you paste in Keypup, and our Help Center walks you through creating it. The first import retrieves up to one year of history (about 90 days for Codex Enterprise, as much as OpenAI keeps).
- Your Code Stays Yours: Keypup only retrieves the daily usage counts the providers publish. We never fetch your code or your prompts.
Every provider lands in the same AI Usage dataset, so a single insight can compare them. Try asking the AI Agent "How does our Claude Code usage compare with Copilot over the last month?".
Cursor is coming next. Check out the AI integrations collection to get started.
GitHub Copilot for Enterprises
If your Copilot subscription is managed by a GitHub enterprise, importing it organization by organization meant one project per organization, and a developer who belongs to several organizations appeared in each of them with the same activity. You can now import Copilot metrics at enterprise level.
- One Project for the Whole Enterprise: Your enterprise now appears in your list of GitHub accounts, with a Copilot Metrics project named after it. Enable it, and a single import covers every organization of the enterprise.
- Each Developer Counted Once: The enterprise-wide daily total counts a developer once, whatever the number of organizations they belong to. A new Enterprise aggregation level and an Enterprise day totals only quick rule let you report on it, and the AI Usage dashboard templates, the AI Agent and the MCP server know how to use it.
You need to be an enterprise owner, a billing manager of the enterprise, or hold the View Enterprise Copilot Metrics permission. If your enterprise does not appear, reconnect GitHub from the Apps page: GitHub connections made before this release did not grant the permission to list enterprises. Check out the updated GitHub Copilot integration article.
Other improvements and bug fixes
- Improvement: Design & UI: The connection pages of our self-hosted integrations (GitLab, Jira and Bitbucket) have been restyled.
- Bugfix: Dashboards: Fixed an issue where deleting a dashboard with "Also delete insight(s) that only belong to this dashboard" checked left those insights behind.
- Bugfix: GitLab: Fixed an issue where a temporary GitLab server error during a token refresh could disconnect your GitLab integration, instead of retrying later.
